Aye, I need to get a small back-pack (my log book wont fit my fanny
pack) and stock it with such items myself.

Here's my (off the top of my head) list for my pack:
~ Log book, personal stamp, 'special personal ink pad', pen & compass
~ Extra ink pads for stamping my log book (to avoid 8 pages of green,
green, green.)
~ Bug Repellent!
~ Water bottle
~ Cell phone (just incase I fall and can't get up)
~ Extra baggies
~ Baby wipes
